Description

Full Product Description

Stay ahead of industry standards with the Bowmonk Infrared Thermometer Gun, designed specifically for HGV and commercial vehicle brake testing. With the DVSA’s new 2025 regulations requiring temperature checks on brake components before and after decelerometer testing, this handheld gun is a must-have tool.

It delivers:

Fast, non-contact readings (within 0.2 seconds)

High accuracy across a wide temperature range of -18 °C to 850 °C

8:1 distance-to-spot ratio for confident readings from 0.5–1 metre

Laser targeting, back-lit display, and data-hold function for precision and convenience

Used alongside the Bowmonk BrakeCheck decelerometer, it confirms brake balance by verifying whether each wheel has reached similar temperatures post-test. This is crucial for DVSA compliance and for detecting underperforming brakes that could otherwise go unnoticed.

Whether you’re operating a large fleet, running roadside checks, or managing pre-MOT testing in a workshop, this IR thermometer provides speed, accuracy, and compliance assurance in one compact device.
